Yeovil College Carpentry Students Visit Buckland Newton Site

Recently, Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Technical students from Yeovil College took part in a Jones Building Group site visit to Buckland Newton where we are constructing 7 new build dwellings. Students were able to see the practical applications of their theory work and were able to put their learning into context. 

The students were given a tour of our site and our Site Manager answered any questions the students had about construction. 

Site visits like this are a hugely important part of the construction curriculum, as it allows our learners to build industry connections and understand the importance of their own learning.
